Introduction

Nunney is a village and civil parish in the Mendip local government district within the English county of Somerset. It is located 3 miles (5 km) south-west of Frome. The name of the village comes from Old English and means Nunna's island. Today, the tourist attractions are the ruins of Nunney Castle, a historic church, and ducks wandering the streets near the river.
